It is a major agricultural and industrial trade center and home to University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff. A mild climate allows for fishing and other outdoor activities year round. Excellent bass fishing is available on the Arkansas River and Lake Langhofer. Pine Bluff Regional Park provides access to these fishing spots as well as RV hookups and golf.
