The newly renovated Chewalla Lake Recreation Area, located between Holly Springs and Tupelo, is North Mississippi’s premier setting for family fun and fishing. Chewalla Lake is for those want a natural, tranquil experience with those important amenities that make it easy to please the entire family.
The lake is feed by Chewalla Creek, a name derived from the Choctaw Indian word, "chihowa-la", meaning The Supreme Being. A pavilion offers a covered picnic area overlooking the lake with electricity and large grills. It’s available for reservation and is the perfect site for your next gathering.
